Getting Started with Grok
Access Requirements
Grok API is currently in limited access. To get access:- Visit the xAI website
- Sign up for an account if you don’t have one
- Apply for API access through the developer portal
- Wait for approval from xAI team
- Once approved, you’ll receive your API credentials
API Key Setup
- After receiving approval, log into your xAI developer account
- Navigate to the API section
- Generate a new API key
- Copy your API key for use in Jinba Flow
API Key Security
- Never share your API key publicly
- Store it securely in environment variables
- Use the key only in trusted applications
- Monitor your usage in the xAI dashboard
Setting Up in Jinba Flow
- Go to your workspace settings in Jinba Flow
- Navigate to the “Secret” section
- Find “Grok” in the list of available credentials
- Click “Configure” or “Add New”
- Enter your Grok credentials:
- API Key: Your xAI Grok API key
- Click “Save” to store your credentials
Available Models
Grok-1
- Best for: General text generation and reasoning
- Use cases: Content creation, analysis, Q&A
Grok-1.5
- Best for: Enhanced reasoning and complex tasks
- Use cases: Advanced analysis, problem solving
